poetic investigations...
in the end I had so many there was enough for
a PDF book.

See below for a sample and a link...

last night at sunset we saw a sun pillar
venus travelled across the sky at twice the normal speed,
and a cloud stood still in the sky for an hour or more.

The Honey Birds

They comb the skies
swoop, swoop
hide desires
one of their kind is looking at me
stare at his eyes
as long as you like
you'll be no more wise

one of the honey birds
worked it out
give 'em a bottle top
give 'em a sky full of clouds
keep your distance when you see their gaze
show 'em your backs
take a good look at my legs

we are jazz
fluid and free
go on
guess what we call you
ghost sound
we wish
kiss kiss
where do we rest at night?

the honey birds
dive and deft
wingless
stripped
their necks are like earthworms
earth worms?
aren't they all from Earth?
deft and daft

bees don't care much for oxygen
worms are seduced by
pattery feet of the honey birds
honey is sweet
simulated rain

try to orchestrate a murmuration
bass clef
waste of a soul
when it can't flap it's wings
some people just can't stand the
symmetry

and the beauty of a fragile frame
their honey is all bitter
but their plots are
agile

whilst we dominate the skies
win wars but lose battles
they fall as they rise
sweet sweet honey bird fly!
sweet sweet
